Ciałżko, weight, observation.

The second day of the festival will be marked by participatory observation.

In the morning we will invite two groups to an encounter with intuitive music. The Ciałżko programme — for families with children aged 0–2 and for adults — will allow us to observe the weight of our bodies and surrender everything that overwhelms us, overloads us, and distances us from ourselves in daily life. All of this through contact with Intibag objects and under the direction of Izabela Chlewińska and Anna Szawiel.

In the evening we will meet again at Hashtag Lab. We will wander through the spaces of the Lab together with British flautist and performer Kathryn Williams, who is visiting the festival together with Ed Cooper. Coming Up For Air is a project comprising several dozen works for solo flute, united by one simple concept — each may draw on only one breath of the performer. We will observe the limits of the body as a form-giving factor. We will then hear the programme Ciałoświat [Bodyworld], whose title we took from the piece by Jagoda Szmytka, Körperwelten for violin, electronics and video (performed by Marta Piórkowska). The organs of the human body, its pulsations and flows will also be present in Simon Steen-Andersen’s Asthma for accordion, electronics and video (performed by Paweł Janas). We also have in store a true vivisection and observation of the interior of an instrument as an organism, in Elena Rykova’s 101% Mind Uploading for three performers (with Lilianna Krych, Mateusz Loska and Magdalena Kordylasińska-Pękala).

Tickets required for evening events.
