Ecoa­coustics is a new, inter­dis­ci­pli­nary branch of sci­ence that stud­ies sounds and their rela­tion­ships with the envi­ron­ment in space and time, there­by extend­ing acoustics and bioacoustics.

Sound is here both the object of study and a tool for inves­ti­gat­ing the com­po­nents of the son­ic envi­ron­ment: geopho­ny, bio­pho­ny, anthropho­ny and technopho­ny. Doro­ta Błaszczak has been work­ing with ecoa­coustics for sev­er­al years, record­ing the sound­scapes around her. The audiopa­per “Ekoakusty­ka zza okna” [Ecoa­coustics from the Win­dow] was cre­at­ed on com­mis­sion for the mag­a­zine Glissando.

Zajw­ert is a recog­nised cre­ator of elec­tron­ic and elec­troa­coustic music inspired by post-club cul­ture, min­i­mal music and the “clicks and cuts” aes­thet­ic. He com­bines the avant-garde with pro­gres­sive pop­u­lar music. He is the author of the albums Golem (Point Source Elec­tron­ic Arts / ZOJ, 2023), King Midas Has Don­key’s Ears (BAS, 2019), and Ran­dom Roots (Gusstaff Records, 2020 — as Psy­cho­geografia, with Piotr Łyszkiewicz). The artist will present new com­po­si­tions com­bin­ing ele­ments of post-club music, decon­struct­ed hip-hop, ambi­ent and min­i­mal music.
