Roshko Brothers

This con­cert will be an expe­ri­ence of an extra­or­di­nary fusion of ear­ly music and moder­ni­ty, where the sounds of the baroque and renais­sance meet elec­tron­ics and live impro­vi­sa­tion. We will also hear pieces from the forth­com­ing album Riv­er of Time, due for release in Jan­u­ary 2025.

Roshko Broth­ers is a musi­cal broth­er­ly duo with deep roots in clas­si­cal music. Grow­ing up in the Suwał­ki region, sur­round­ed by wild nature and a mys­te­ri­ous Slav­ic melan­choly, Roshko Broth­ers — that is, Jan and Adam Roszkows­ki — bring these inspi­ra­tions into their music. Their pieces are com­posed forms in which one can hear a sub­tle dia­logue between elec­tron­ics and the charm of the cello.

Exper­i­ment is part of the musi­cal lan­guage they cre­ate. Sym­phon­ic sounds build a more cin­e­mat­ic space; some­times one can hear in them the atmos­phere of the post-glacial land­scapes of the Suwał­ki region.
