Młoda Akademia FINAŁ

The final con­certs of Mło­da Akademia are a cel­e­bra­tion of joy, spon­tane­ity, and cre­ativ­i­ty at Hash­tag Lab.

Chil­dren who prac­tise études, exer­cis­es, and scales every day step onto the stage with a reper­toire they have no chance of encoun­ter­ing at school. Dur­ing work­shops that span sev­er­al months, they dis­cov­er that sound can be pro­duced in 100 dif­fer­ent ways, that there are works in which a graph­ic image serves as the score, and that it absolute­ly does not mat­ter if they make a mistake.

Par­tic­i­pants work in two age groups under the watch­ful eye of vio­lin­ist Mar­ta Piórkows­ka and dou­ble bassist Sébastien Beli­ah. They explore con­tem­po­rary music and the secrets of per­form­ing it. At the final con­cert they will present the pieces they have man­aged to pre­pare — with­out pres­sure, with a smile on their faces and a sense of satisfaction.
