Lazar / Wnuk — Surreal Voyagers
“Their music seems outside of time (…) Through its indeterminacy it acts powerfully on the imagination” — this is how music critic Maciej Krawiec aptly summed up the work of the Surreal Voyagers duo.
The ensemble, which has existed since 2018, defies definitive genre classification, navigating between ambient and melodic art-pop, always in search of an exceptionally immersive, psychedelic experience shared with the audience. Their debut album Seeking mother, recorded live at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław and released in 2024 by the label Antenna Non Grata Album, astonishes with its full sound reminiscent of a sonic sculpture.
The gentlemen have performed with music for silent films, but have also played in a dance theatre production (also as performers) and at festivals such as Warszawska Jesień and Audio Art; they are currently working on new, decidedly the most melodic material of their career.
“It fascinates and hypnotizes with sounds rather than repelling with raw form” (Bartek Chaciński), “an album that draws us into its sonic landscapes and won’t let us go” (Artur Mieczkowski).
