A dis­cus­sion pan­el devot­ed to meth­ods of work­ing with elec­tron­ics, com­bin­ing the per­spec­tives of com­posers, per­form­ers, and sound engineers.

The point of depar­ture will be the process­es sur­round­ing the real­i­sa­tion of Pierre Boulez’s Dia­logue de l’om­bre dou­ble. The dis­cus­sion will address strate­gies for work­ing with dig­i­tal tools, the chal­lenges that elec­tron­ic music pos­es for the artists involved in the process of cre­ation, per­for­mance, and record­ing of a work, as well as doc­u­men­ta­tion stan­dards. Using Marcin Łopack­i’s Mono­sym­pho­ny op. 101 as an exam­ple, we will reflect on the ways in which arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence is pre­pared to co-shape and sup­port process­es in con­tem­po­rary music.

Fun­dac­ja Ensem­blage car­ries out artis­tic, edu­ca­tion­al, and pub­lish­ing activ­i­ties in the field of con­tem­po­rary music.
