At the concert of the Art and Academic Circle of the Faculty of Composition and Music Theory at UMFC in Warsaw, audiences will hear premiere performances of works by Circle members, interpreted by outstanding artists. The event showcases the diversity of aesthetics and individual creative languages of young composers, revealing the richness of contemporary musical exploration.

Adam Falenta (b. 2005 in Toruń) — composer and violinist, student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He has been composing since the age of 10 and, despite his young age, already has a rich creative output encompassing nearly 100 works — from solo forms to symphonic compositions. His works have been performed by many renowned ensembles, including Sinfonia Varsovia, Amadeus Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra, Toruń Symphony Orchestra, Zielona Góra Philharmonic Orchestra, Cappella Gedanensis, Sinfonietta Pomerania, Airis Quartet, and Sepia Ensemble. They have been presented in venues such as the Grand Theatre — National Opera in Warsaw, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, CKK Jordanki in Toruń, and the Royal Castle in Warsaw. He has collaborated with many well-known Polish conductors, including Anna Duczmal-Mróz, Rafał Kłoczko, Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny, Mariusz Smolij, Paweł Kapuła, Adam Banaszak, and Jacek Brzoznowski. He is a laureate of numerous national and international composition competitions. His works have been presented at festivals such as Les Folles Journées de la Musique, Nowe Fale, and Probaltica. He has also participated in composition courses and workshops in Poland and abroad, working under the guidance of acclaimed composers including Paweł Łukaszewski, Helmut Zapf, Hanna Kulenty, Judith Weir, and Artur Zagajewski.
Jan Błażejczak is a second-year master’s student in composition in the class of Dr Miłosz Bembinow and in electronic music composition in the class of Dr Wojciech Błażejczyk at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2024. His works have been presented both in Poland and abroad. He has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as JACK Quartet, Airis Quartet, and Kwartludium. He has developed his skills at the Young Composers Academy in Ticino (Switzerland, 2024) and at the Impuls festival in Graz (Austria, 2025). He has consulted on his compositions with distinguished creators including Oscar Bianchi, Clara Iannotta, George Lewis, Farzia Fallah, Francesco Filidei, Franc Bedrossian, Artur Zagajewski, and Żaneta Rydzewska.
Franciszek Ciuk (b. 2005) — composer and pianist, student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the composition class of Prof. Dariusz Przybylski. He creates music born from a combination of inspirations from human psychology, Buddhist philosophy, and avant-jazz, frequently reaching in his works for a dialogue with the past.
Weronika Palinceusz, b. 2005 in Radom, graduated from the Oskar Kolberg School of Music in Radom, specialising in eurhythmics. She is currently a second-year undergraduate student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, in the composition class of Dr hab. Ignacy Zalewski, Associate Professor at UMFC. She was a finalist in the 66th Tadeusz Baird Young Composers Competition. Her works have been performed at venues including the Lublin Philharmonic and the Elżbieta and Krzysztof Penderecki Manor in Lusławice.
Tomasz Podubiński (b. 2000 in Olsztyn) — composer and jazz guitarist. He studies composition at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Prof. Aleksander Kościów, and has also completed studies in jazz guitar under Prof. Marek Napiórkowski. He also studied at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden under the Erasmus+ programme, where he trained under Marek Andre and Jason Thorpe Buchanan. He is the laureate of 1st prize in the 66th Tadeusz Baird Young Composers Competition and a distinction in a competition organised by the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He has participated in courses run by, among others, Stefan Prins and Oscar Bianchi. His works have been performed by ensembles such as Spółdzielnia Muzyczna Contemporary Ensemble, Neuma Quartet, and Airis Quartet.
Szymon Krajewski — currently studying at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (violin: in the class of Prof. Konstanty Andrzej Kulka and Prof. Maria Machowska \ composition: in the class of Prof. Ignacy Zalewski) and at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków (violin: in the class of Prof. Mateusz Kasprzak-Łabudziński). He specialises in solo performance (particularly 20th- and 21st-century music). His career already includes numerous performances with orchestras, chamber and solo recitals, and many world premieres of new music. Beyond the art of the violin, his musical interests also encompass composition. He composes mainly in a minimalist style (with particular emphasis on time in music). His compositional output includes several instrumental concertos, chamber works, and solo pieces. Szymon plays an instrument made by Piotr Pielaszek in 2025.
Zuzanna Zajda — student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the composition class of Dr hab. Andrzej Karałow, and student at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź in the saxophone class of Prof. Dr hab. Paweł Gusnar. Throughout her 11 years of music education she participated in a total of 64 music competitions, including international and national events, winning prizes in 56 and taking 1st place on 35 occasions. Her works have been performed in Poland and abroad, winning the appreciation of audiences. A significant recent success was taking 1st place at the Vienna Classical Music Competition, where she performed as soloist with the Vienna City Orchestra in the Ehrbar concert hall in Vienna Hall. She has honed her skills at 51 masterclasses led by outstanding artists including Jérôme Laran, Asya Fateyeva, Vincent David, and Nobuya Sugawa. In February 2019 she was named a laureate of the 16th edition of the Młoda Polska scholarship programme for 2019 — awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. She has also received honorary scholarships from the Pro Musica Bona Foundation, the National Fund for Children (Gifted Fund), the Jolanta and Leszek Czarnecki Foundation, and the Sapere Auso Małopolska Scholarship Foundation.
