I be, i me #PlimPlamPlum
Contemporary music and art for young children — interactive workshops and micro-concerts for families with children aged 0–5
A dot. So small. Tiny. The smallest member of the family of shapes and signs. A hole, a speck, a mote. A little point. And yet it means so much. You can’t say it has “nothing to say” — it has everything to say — it always knows everything. A master of decisiveness and concentration. The smallest thing in a score. What does a dot sound like? And what does a piece made of many dots sound like? During the workshop we will play with points, dots and drops: those visible to the eyes and those audible to the ears. We will listen. And we will create our own individual, sonic dots.

About the series:
#PlimPlamPlum. Contemporary music and art for young children is a series of workshops, micro-concerts and interactive events in which the very youngest children — even from the first years of life — have the opportunity to encounter professional, classical contemporary music in the finest performances. During the workshops and activities within the series, children will experience joyful and creative play engaging the child together with their parent, as well as creative, sensory improvisations and tasks focused on achieving sensory integration. Specially selected works, contemporary songs and improvisations, sound-based, sensoplastic and movement activities, realisation of sounds and tones “close to the baby’s ear”, but also mindful engagement with other senses, and above all — careful observation of young children’s responses to sounds — are the goal and core principle of the #PlimPlamPlum workshop series, realised as part of an artistic fellowship from the Capital City of Warsaw.
The event is realised as part of the 2024 artistic fellowship of the Capital City of Warsaw “PlimPlamPlum. Contemporary music and art for young children“
