Bach w piach!

12.08 Sat 11:00

The “Bach w piach” initiative consists of concerts for families in the city’s public spaces and is simultaneously a flashmob event of a musical-educational character. It is aimed at children and parents spending the summer months at playgrounds in the Warszawa-Ochota district.

As part of the initiative, artists of Hashtag Ensemble perform works of classical and contemporary music at playgrounds without prior announcement. In this way we introduce children and parents to music they have very often never had the opportunity to hear before, as well as to acoustic musical instruments, about which we tell them.

During the events we present both works by the titular J.S. Bach and the latest compositions from the classical and experimental music repertoire. Children and adults can listen to and touch the musical instruments, talk to the performers, and learn more about the Contemporary Music Space Hashtag Lab — a new Community Cultural Institution of the City of Warsaw, located in their own district.

All events are open and free of charge.

The project was originated by Marlena Wieczorek, founder of the nationwide portal Meakultura and organiser of the Save the music initiative (savethemusic.eu).

The project is co-financed by the Ochota District of the City of Warsaw.

The Contemporary Music Space Hashtag Lab is co-financed by the Capital City of Warsaw.
