Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of non-gov­ern­men­tal organ­i­sa­tions that run fes­ti­vals and ensem­bles — such as Spółdziel­nia Muzy­cz­na, Neo­Quar­tet, Kwadro­fonik and Flow Unit — will dis­cuss the chal­lenges involved in run­ning new music ven­tures. The host of the meet­ing will be Hash­tag Ensemble.

We will address top­ics relat­ing to the financ­ing of artis­tic ini­tia­tives and the sus­tain­abil­i­ty of third-sec­tor organ­i­sa­tions run­ning enti­ties sim­i­lar to those with per­ma­nent bud­getary sup­port. How can one devel­op one’s activ­i­ties? Are there alter­na­tive solu­tions that allow ensem­bles to grow with­out obsta­cles? Do we form a com­mu­ni­ty of com­mon purpose?

The meet­ing takes place as part of the #Gra­j­Fair cam­paign, run by Hash­tag Ensem­ble since 2021.

To date, at meet­ings with experts — musi­cians, pro­duc­ers and musi­col­o­gists — our guests have includ­ed, among oth­ers: Miłosz Bem­bi­now, Joan­na Grotkows­ka, Wio­le­ta Żochows­ka, Alek­san­dra Kaca, Jan Topol­s­ki, Bovs­ka, Niko­la Kołodziejczyk, Moni­ka Pasiecznik, Adam Suprynow­icz, Krzysztof Pietraszews­ki, Pia Par­tum, Mar­ta Kluczyńs­ka, Ryszard Wojciul.

The top­ics of the pan­els have cov­ered issues orbit­ing copy­right and prob­lems in the music pub­lish­ing world. We have also addressed ques­tions of sur­vival dur­ing and after the pandemic.

Our pan­els have tak­en place both live and online, reach­ing a com­bined audi­ence of around 50,000.

The cam­paign’s part­ner since 2021 is ZAIKS.

The event takes place as part of the 66th Inter­na­tion­al Fes­ti­val of Con­tem­po­rary Music “Warsza­wska Jesień.”
