This time we invite ąsąBąble to a pre-hol­i­day, mul­ti-gen­er­a­tional con­cert for the whole family!

Do you remem­ber old Christ­mas trees? Some­what col­or­ful and not in tune, they had their own charm: they sparkled with diver­si­ty, and the orna­ments hung on them were often col­lect­ed over sev­er­al gen­er­a­tions. Each one could tell a short sto­ry, or we could play a piece about it. Each can sym­bol­ize a spe­cial gift: a col­or­ful bauble — fun, a pine cone — shar­ing, a rock­ing horse — cud­dles by a lul­la­by. There is still good­will, atten­tion, accep­tance — things we won’t find in stores. 

Musi­cians from Hash­tag Ensem­ble will wrap these gifts in sounds, to give us more joy in dis­cov­er­ing. Hid­den in the sounds will be melodies that bring us good in this Decem­ber time — just like the car­ol from the Third String Quar­tet by Pēteris Vasks. The com­pos­er want­ed this music to bring peace to the earth. It’s still a very valu­able gift, isn’t it?

The last con­cert of this year has a mul­ti-gen­er­a­tional char­ac­ter, we invite you with whole fam­i­lies. A string fam­i­ly will be wait­ing for you: two vio­lins, vio­la and cel­lo. We will crunch gin­ger­bread togeth­er and cre­ate sound­ing Christ­mas orna­ments. Let it be diverse and col­or­ful, with imag­i­na­tion. Just like the old Christ­mas trees looked.
