Piosenniczek
A song as a nap! Just imagine: we half-close our eyes, prick up our ears and drift into micro-dreams: about a cocoon, about a little shell, about Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf who purrs sweetly “Hellooooo, little giiiirl.”
Micro-dreams: lullaby ones and literary ones, the musical-theatre kind and the playful kind — ones where it will be nice to stamp our feet and wake our bodies from their slumber. They will be preceded by sonic riddles that will stir our imaginations and tune us into the concert’s audiosphere. Piosenniczek will scatter the last remnants of winter dreams until we feel thoroughly, thoroughly spring-like. The concert programme includes works by the duos: Jerzy Ficowski and Władysław Sławiński, Stanisław Szydłowski and Jerzy Wasowski, Julian Tuwim and Jarek Kordaczuk, Anna Kierkosz and Agnieszka Widlarz. The colourful voices of Hashtag Ensemble sing — Marta Grzywacz and Maciej Nerkowski.
Before and after the concerts, parents and carers with children are invited to enjoy treats at our café. The café is open from 9:00 to 14:00.

About the series: ĄsąBąble are performative concerts featuring new music for families with children aged 0–7. Each is built around an original script in which listening to music, interactive play and educational value are equally important. In a space that is welcoming to the very young, one can listen to music by leading contemporary composers in versions and proportions calibrated for small ears. The theatrical format of the concerts promotes concentration and allows the sounds to cast their spell, while the invitation to join in shared improvisations releases the natural expressive impulse of young people. In the spirit of Janusz Korczak’s words “There are no children, only people,” all participants are treated with respect and have a stake in how the event unfolds. The series presents exclusively music of the 20th and 21st centuries. A permanent element is the presentation of a recording of a symphonic work or a work from the field of sound design and electronics.
Although each edition of ĄsąBąble takes a musical fabric as its starting point, it is also rich in non-musical contexts close to Hashtag Ensemble’s practice: literary, visual, social. The events are interdisciplinary in character: invited artists who have long worked in close proximity to children’s imagination also take part — dancers, performers, illustrators and writers. Theatre is the natural terrain of new music, which is why actor training for musicians is also part of the educational character of the ĄsąBąble series.
The curator and host of the series is Anna Szawiel — an actor and narrator who specialises in interdisciplinary cultural and educational events. She likes to work on borders: between concert and performance, education and play, physicality and abstraction, always in connection with children’s imagination. The concert programmes are co-created by the musicians of Hashtag Ensemble.

The ĄsąBąble project creatively develops the concept of the “Smykowizje” series of the “Muzyka jest dla wszystkich” foundation, within which in 2016–2022 Hashtag Ensemble and Anna Szawiel performed together more than 130 concerts and mini-performances, searching for the most interesting forms of presenting new music. The concept and curatorship of Smykowizje was the work of Anna Kierkosz. It was the first series of events in Poland addressed to the very youngest, in which contemporary music played the lead role.
The Contemporary Music Space Hashtag Lab is co-financed by the Capital City of Warsaw.
