#StrefaRuchu: Jakiego radia potrzeba kulturze?

The Lab is host­ing a debate about what kind of radio cul­ture needs in Poland. Togeth­er with the edi­to­r­i­al team of “Ruch Muzy­czny” we invite you to take part in the meeting.

Pro­grammes, broad­casts, record­ings, fes­ti­vals, ensem­bles, com­mis­sions — the cul­ture-form­ing role of radio is hard to dis­pute. Dif­fer­ences of opin­ion may arise when we ask what the mis­sion of pub­lic media should con­sist of, how radio should respond to the changes of con­tem­po­rary media real­i­ty, what val­ues it should uphold and to whom it should direct its message.

Now that the dust has set­tled after the per­son­nel changes at the board of Pol­skie Radio and the plac­ing of the com­pa­ny in liq­ui­da­tion, we want to open a dis­cus­sion about what kind of radio cul­ture needs. And what kind of radio we dream of.

The invi­ta­tion of “Ruch Muzy­czny” was accept­ed by the direc­tor-edi­tor-in-chief of Pro­gramme 2, Piotr Kędziorek, and the direc­tor-edi­tor-in-chief of Pro­gramme 3, Agniesz­ka Szy­dłows­ka. Also tak­ing part in the pan­el will be: Grze­gorz Michal­s­ki (musi­col­o­gist, jour­nal­ist and music crit­ic), Mał­gorza­ta Płysa (cura­tor and pro­duc­er spe­cial­is­ing in exper­i­men­tal music and art, direc­tor of the Unsound and Ephemera fes­ti­vals), Kor­nelia Sobczak (Doc­tor of Cul­tur­al Stud­ies, edi­tor of the month­ly “Dia­log”, co-author of the book Chopinowskie igrzysko. His­to­ria Między­nar­o­dowego Konkur­su Pianisty­cznego im. Fry­dery­ka Chopina 1927–2015), and Wojtek Zrałek-Kos­sakows­ki (artist on the bor­der of the­atre and music, cul­tur­al ani­ma­tor, cre­ator of exper­i­men­tal radio plays and broad­casts). The con­ver­sa­tion will be mod­er­at­ed by the edi­tor-in-chief of “Ruch Muzy­czny”, Daniel Cichy.
