Smyki i pierniki
This time we invite ĄsąBąble to a pre-Christmas, intergenerational concert for the whole family!
Do you remember Christmas trees of old? A little gaudy and not always in tune, they had their charm: they shimmered with variety, and their decorations were often collected over several generations. Each one could have a short story told about it, or a piece of music played for it. Each one might symbolise a special gift: a colourful bauble — play; a pine cone — sharing; a rocking horse — a cuddle at lullaby time. There is also kindness, attention, acceptance — things you will not find in shops.
The musicians of Hashtag Ensemble will wrap these gifts in sound, to give us greater joy in the discovering. Hidden in the sounds will be melodies that bring us goodness in this December time — like the carol from Pēteris Vasks’s String Quartet No. 3. The composer wanted this music to bring peace to the earth. That is still a very precious gift, is it not?
This final concert of the year is intergenerational — we invite you with your whole families. Awaiting you will be a family of string players: two violins, viola and cello. We will crunch gingerbread together and create sounding Christmas decorations. Let it be diverse and colourful, with flair. Just as Christmas trees looked in years gone by.
