Nocny krąg głosowy

30.11 Thu 20:00

For everyone who needs to take care of their sensory well-being.

Life in a big city, for many people, is associated with sensory overload (noise, crowds, traffic, queues, cars), and consequently with stress and exhaustion. Producing sounds releases endorphins and stimulates the vagus nerve, which is responsible for the functioning of the most important organs in our body. We will learn to listen to our body, directing attention inward. We will discover how our voice sounds in harmony with other people. We will explore its effects on others and on ourselves.

During the classes we will try to calm the senses, relax the body and calm the breath. Together we will perform voice exercises that will lead us into meditation and silence.

Voice exercises will be based on simple melodies and harmonies taken from traditional folk songs of Eastern Europe.

Meetings will take place in partial darkness.

Classes will be led by people creating the “Non-Male Choir” initiative with the support of a voice emission teacher.

Non-Male Choir is a flagship project of the activist collective “4 Non Straights”. The main task of this initiative is to promote LGBTQIA+ art and culture, to support and create artistic actions and happenings that will educate on the topic of inclusivity, equal rights, breaking stereotypes.
