Apollo i Marsjasz
The concert’s title — and its guiding motif — refers to the famous poem by Zbigniew Herbert Apollo i Marsjasz, which reinterprets the myth of the musical duel between the god Apollo and the satyr Marsyas.
The programme includes world premiere performances of works by six young composers, written specially for this occasion. The event is an invitation to discover the modern sounds of the viola in various guises, including with the use of electronics and new media.
