Encore
“Encore” is a choreographic performance about love with live music by Lucia Długoszewski — an American composer, pupil of John Cage and Edgard Varèse, choreographer, and inventor.
“Encore” is a choreographic performance about love with the music of Lucia Długoszewski performed live. What is love? Love is the possibility of assisting at the birth of the world. It is omnipresent. It is a cosmic, pure force, the chemical gravity by virtue of which life exists. It is one of the strongest motivations. In love, the subject attempts to touch the “being of the other” — striving for complete union. It transcends itself, transcends narcissism, but will never reach its goal. In love, subjects will always experience difference and undertake unceasing attempts at union on the metaphysical level.
“The performance ‘Encore’ is my return to contemplative, metaphysical art. My reflection turns towards love. I look at it at its foundations, as a primordial, pure creative force. We have various motivations for action, but love seems to me the most constructive of all.” — Liwia Bargieł
