Koncert na zmianę czasu

When a year ago we invit­ed you to a spe­cial Con­cert for the Change of Time, you came to Hash­tag Lab in great num­bers. That showed us that this lit­er­al change of time — putting the clocks back an hour and tran­si­tion­ing from sum­mer to win­ter time — deserves its own rit­u­al. A moment to pause, to reflect, to turn atten­tion from the out­side world inward. 

This year we again invite you to a noc­tur­nal con­cert that will be a musi­cal com­ple­ment to the expe­ri­ence of the time change. This evening at Hash­tag Lab you will find no chairs, only cush­ions, poufs and blan­kets. You will be able to drink warm­ing hot choco­late or tea with cloves and cin­na­mon, lie down in a cosi­ly dark­ened space and, togeth­er with the musi­cians of Hash­tag Ensem­ble, immerse your­selves in the world of com­posers such as Juste Jan­u­lyte, Patri­cia Alessan­dri­ni, Max Vinetz, Mar­tin Lori­dan, Justy­na Kowal­s­ka-Lasoń, as well as Arvo Pärt, who cel­e­brates his 90th birth­day this year.

This time the guide will be above all the string quar­tet, sup­port­ed in places by flute, clar­inet and piano. Togeth­er with them you will pass through, among oth­er things, labyrinths of melody, search for rit­u­als for chang­ing times, observe your own breath­ing, try to reach the moon and even set out on a jour­ney from Cal­i­for­nia to Texas. 

You will be enveloped by the full spec­trum of colours achiev­able on string instru­ments, the warm sound of the clar­inet and con­trast­ing inter­ven­tions from the flute and piano. All of this togeth­er will make for an excep­tion­al night, after which you will enter win­ter time relaxed and ready for hibernation. 

Bring warm socks and your favourite jumper, and come to Hash­tag Lab to co-cre­ate this rit­u­al with us for the change of time.
