Magdalena Kordylasińska-Pękala

A per­cus­sion­ist spe­cial­iz­ing in the per­for­mance of cham­ber and solo music from the 20th and 21st centuries.

A lau­re­ate of the Pasz­port Poli­ty­ki award and oth­er pres­ti­gious prizes and schol­ar­ships. She reg­u­lar­ly col­lab­o­rates with Miłosz Pękala, with whom she forms the per­cus­sion duo Pękala Kordy­lasińs­ka Pękala, the Kwadro­fonik Quar­tet, the new music ensem­ble Chain Ensem­ble, and Mitch&Mitch with their Grup­po Etere­o­fon­i­co. She joined the Hash­tag Ensem­ble in 2022.

New music, although it occu­pies a sig­nif­i­cant place in her artis­tic life, is not her only pas­sion. Mag­dale­na also express­es her­self through pop music, col­lab­o­rat­ing with artists such as Daw­id Pod­si­adło, Kor­tez, Mela Koteluk, Artur Rojek, and the Stokłosa Col­lec­tive Orchestra.

He is also involved in edu­ca­tion­al activ­i­ties. He is a teacher at the ZPSM No. 4 named after Karol Szy­manows­ki in War­saw, and since 2018, he has also been an assis­tant pro­fes­sor in the per­cus­sion class at the Acad­e­my of Art in Szczecin.
